South Africa signs deal to send six black Rhinos to Chad
South Africa has signed a deal to send six black Rhinos to Chad. A report says the deal comes more than 40 years after the critically endangered animals were last seen there.
An agreement has been signed by environment ministers from the two countries.
The rhinos are expected to be flown to chad in the first half of next year. There are estimated to be about 5,000 black rhinos left across the continent.
South Africa’s rhino population has suffered severe poaching in recent years.
