#SocialMedia: We will not clamp down on hate speech promoters – Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Army has cleared the air on recent comments credited to it that the military will clamp down on people who make hate speeches on social media.

The director of defence information of the army major general John Enenche explained that the military is only monitoring the social media to sieve out information to help them in their planning.

He made the clarification during an interactive session with newsmen in Abuja.

Major General Enenche stressed that there is no truth in the allegations made against the army.
