Senate, Reps, State Assembly Constitution Review Committee meets in Lagos
The National Assembly has begun the process of amending the 1999 Constitution.
The joint committees of the senate and the House of Representatives, as well as the state houses of assembly, are in Lagos to begin final discussions on the amendment.
The governor of Lagos state, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode who opened the retreat spoke on the need to look into the grey areas of the constitution in record time.
Deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu said the 8th assembly would facilitate the amendment process and ensure speedy passage and assent by the president.
