Security Expert advises Federal Government on Terrorism
A security expert Ona Ekhomu says the federal government must study the strength and weakness of terrorists in order to tackle their activities.
Ekhomu spoke in Abuja in the wake of the bombing of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID). He explained that insecurity and terrorism had become a threat to the nation while advising that the federal government must develop strategies to combat the menace.
He urged the federal government to be proactive and make its troops happy by providing adequate weapons as well as adequate mobilisation of soldiers to boost their morale.
The security consultant also advised the government to be cautious of what he called the insider threat. He also stressed that sensitive information should be protected from insiders. He appealed to the government to engage private security agencies in the fight against terrorism.
Mr. Ekhomu urged all citizens to be at alert in the effort to curb the menace.
