Rivers governor sacks key officers

Rivers governor, Nyesom Wike, has dissolved the state executive council with immediate effect.

In a statement his special assistant on media, Kelvin Ebiri stated that Wike also sacked his chief of staff Emeka woke and senior special assistant (protocol), Harold Koko of their positions.

He commends the members the state executive council for their service and contribution to the development of the state.

Wike instructed all the former members of the state executive council to hand over to the most senior officers in their respective ministries.
