Removal of illegal road blocks takes effect in Kogi

Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello, has ordered for immediate removal of roadblocks within the state, where illegal taxes are collected.

The governor gave the order after he ran into a long Tran into traffic which disrupted free movement.

He said the illegal roadblocks have caused so much hardship to the road users especially the transporters.

Yahaya, however, warned that he will not condone such practices in the state, adding that only legally constituted tax collection agencies backed by relevant statutes would be allowed to carry out their responsibilities.

The commuters commended the governor for his concern for the common man.
