PSN calls for urgent signing of Pharmacy Council bill into law
The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) has called on president Muhammadu Buhari to urgently sign the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria bill into law.
The president of the body, Mr Sam Ohuabunwa said that the bill would ensure proper regulation and monitoring of the activities of fake pharmacists.
Ohuabunwa spoke to newsmen in Lagos.
Also, the national chairman of the association of community pharmacists Mr Samuel Adekola noted the bill contains the necessary procedures in the pharmacy practice.
Adekola pleaded with president Buhari to consider the health benefits in the bill.
The national assembly has since passed the pharmacy council of Nigeria bill waiting for the president’s assent.
