Protest rocks Kano against rape

Professional women groups in Kano today trooped out in their dozens, defying the early morning downpour to stage a protest against rampant cases of rape in the city and its environs.

The protest which was staged was aimed at drawing government’s attention to the menace of rape in the state.

The women carrying placards with different inscriptions such as, real men don’t rape, enough is enough, we say no to rape, marched through some selected streets and ended up in Kano state house of assembly.
