Protest in OAU as Workers, Students Drum Support for Former Vice Chancellor
Workers and students of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife have protested at the high court in Ede Osun state over the arraignment of the former vice chancellor, Professor Anthony Elujoba.
The protest commenced after the presiding judge, Justice David Oladimeji ordered that Elujoba be remanded in Ilesa prison pending the ruling of the application for bail of the former vice chancellor and the bursar Mrs. Ronke Akeredolu on the nineteenth of this month.
Elujoba and the bursar are facing 7 count charges over alleged misappropriation of funds and abuse of office.
The protesting workers and students insisted that they would not leave the court until Professor Elujoba is released on bail.
