Powerful storm kills 8, injures 67 others in Roman
A Romanian official says a powerful storm has killed eight people and injured sixty-four.
The storm pounded the area around the western city of Timisoara before heading north towards Ukraine.
The report says the victims were outside when the incident happened where one man was hit by a falling tree and another by a billboard.
The interior minister said two children are in critical condition in the hospital. Information has it that Romania’s national weather agency has issued warnings of strong winds and rainstorms for western areas.
Romania’s emergency services urged people to shelter indoors and avoid going near trees and power lines.
