Police take over Ekiti Assembly

Barely 24hours after Members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly elected Hon Gboyega Aribisogan representing Ikole Constituency 1, the Premises of the Assembly has been taken over by men of the Nigeria Police Force.

The Assembly workers who spoke in anonymity said that workers were directed to vacate the Assembly complex over the report of purported invasion by some armed thugs.

The speaker Mr Aribisogan in a phone interview with Adaba FM said that the development was not connected with his election as the speaker of the house denying any form if internal wranglings among members of the house

He however said that the security agents through their intelligence combed the assembly complex to forestall any form of attack by hoodlums.
