Police arrest dog owner that kills child, injures mother in Osun

Osun state police command has arrested owner of dogs that killed a five months old baby in Osogbo, the state capital.

The police spokesperson Yemisi Opalola who made this known while speaking to newsmen said the suspect will be charged to court soon.

On Wednesday a nursing mother, identified as Nafisat Muideen was seriously injured and her five months old baby, Mariam was trapped to death by an Alsatian dogs.

Muideen who was Speaking with newsmen in her residential area located at Gaa Fulani, Hallelujah estate, Osogbo, disclosed that the dogs escaped from an uncompleted building very close to their house.

She said she was on her way to pharmacy to get drugs for her sick five months old baby before the dogs attacked, seized the baby from her back and killed her, saying that in an attempt to rescue the baby, she was also attacked and injured by the dogs in the process.

Muideen appealed to the Osun State Government and the state command of the Nigeria Police to bring the owner of the dogs to justice.
