PHOTO: Police parade nine armed robbery suspects in Osun

Osun state police command has paraded Nine suspects for various criminal offence such as armed robbery and unlawful possession of firearms.

Among those paraded were four armed robbery syndicate alongside two of their accomplices who specialized in snatching of vehicles from their victims.

While parading the suspects the police spokesperson Yemisi Opalola hinted that suspects robbed a man of an unregistered Mercedes Benz car at a gunpoint around Ikire in Irewole local government area of the state.

Opalola said the victims was stabbed severally in the hand while struggling with the syndicate.

She noted that when the police received the report, a team of policemen on stop and search along along Ibadan/Ile-Ife express way were alerted which lead to their arrested.

The police spokesperson reiterated the command’s commitment in ridding the state of criminal activities.

One of the suspects Ibraheem Yusuf confessed to the crime.

Items recovered from the suspects were one Mercedes Benz C class, one cut to size pistol, one live cartridge, knives and other dangerous weapons.
