Oyebanji presents N150m gratuity cheques to 64 pensioners in Ekiti
Another set of 64 local government pensioners have received their gratuities in Ekiti state after many years of retirement from active service.
Distributing cheques worth One Hundred and Fifty Million naira to the pensioners, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, said that the gesture was in fulfilment of his commitment to always put smiles on the faces of the senior citizens who had served the state during their active days.
Oyebanji who noted that the distribution of the cheques was the 3rd edition since inception of his administration expressed his determination to design and start implementing measures to put the State on a sound footing and to be able to discharge his responsibilities to the people of Ekiti.
The governor assured that government is making significant efforts to address the issue of unpaid gratuities among pensioners and at the state and local government levels.
