Osun Assembly Suspends Staff Audit Till Further Notice

Osun State House of Assembly has directed the consultant handling the staff audit of the state workers to suspend the process until further notice.

This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the spokesperson of the speaker of the state house of assembly Olamide Tiamiyu in Osogbo, the state capital.

According to the statement, the suspension became imperative after the speaker had an emergency meeting with other lawmakers to review the petitions written against the consultant to the State House of Assembly.

It would be recalled that last week Friday the consultant Saadat Bakrin-Ottun was accused of ill-treating members and management of Osun state university during the turn of the university for the audit ordered by the state government for all its employees.

The Speaker had also constituted an ad-hoc committee to look into the issues around the petition and come up with necessary recommendations.
