Osun APC expels commissioners, others over alleged anti-party activities

The All Progressives Congress in Osun state has expelled 84 members for alleged anti party activities.

A statement by the Chairman of the party, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal notes that the disciplinary measure came in response to the allegations of misconduct and actions that embarrassed and brought the party to disrepute.

Some of the expelled members who were loyalists of the immediate past Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, are the factional chairman of the party, Rasaq Salinsile and the Commissioner for Political Affairs and Inter-Government Relations under the Ademola Adeleke led People’s Democratic Party government, Biyi Odunlade.

Also, the commissioner for children’s affairs under Governor Adeleke’s government Temilade olokungboye was also expelled.

It would be recalled that Razak Salinsile had led the faction of Osun APC loyal to former Governor Aregbesola to form alliances against the immediate past governor of the state Gboyega Oyetola, from getting a second term in office on July 16, 2022 governorship poll.
