Osun APC calls for redeployment of police commissioner
The All Progressives Party in the state has called on the inspector general of police Usman Alkali Baba to redeploy the state commissioner of police, Kehinde Alonge.
The spokesperson of the party in the state Kola Olabisi who made the call at a press conference in Osogbo, the state capital noted that they have loss confidence on his performance.
The APC said since the tribunal judgement that sacked senator Ademola Adeleke from office, APC members in the state have been subjected to series of torment in their various places while the police in all of these keep favouring the PDP to unleash mayhem on APC members.
They said thugs allegedly imported to the state by the PDP have been perpetrating atrocities with impunity particularly in villages in Atakumosa east axis of state without any serious arrest or prosecution by the police.
They equally alleged that the CP redeployed some Divisional Police Officers to various divisions in the state mainly to aid sinister activities of the PDP
Members of the Apc said if the CP is not redeployed, he and the PDP should be held responsible for any breakdown of law and order, before and during the general election.
While reacting to the allegation the media assistant to the governor of the state Bamidele Olabamiji also passed a vote of no confidence on the c.p noting that APC has launched series of attack on PDP members which they had reported to the police while the CP failed to act on it.
Olabamiji Noted that the people’s democratic party is a peace loving party and the state governor senator Ademola Adeleke is doing the needful in ensuring that the state is a safe haven for the residents.
