Notorious cultist, Oko-Ilu arraigned in court on nine counts in Osogbo
A magistrate court sitting in Osogbo has remanded a notorious cultist Hammed Rasheed popularly known as Rashidi Oko Ilu at the Ilesha correction service for terrorizing Ede town and it’s environs
The police had arrested Rasheed last Saturday after three months of being declared wanted for various criminal offences
The charges pressed against him by the Osun Police Command include murder, Arson, Wilful Damage, unlawful possession of fire arm and unlawful shooting of police inspector, among others
While delivering his judgement, the chief magistrate Olusegun Ayilara said after reading the charge sheet the suspect should be kept behind the bar due to magnitude of his offences.
The legal counsel to the defendant Taiwo Awokunle while speaking to journalists said the court didn’t take hammed Rasheed’s plea because his offences are capital in nature.
Magistrate Ayilara therefore adjourned the case till October 7,2022
