Nigerian Army Launches Locally Fabricated Patrol Vehicles
The Nigerian Army has inaugurated locally fabricated infantry patrol vehicles to strengthen troops operations nationwide.
The Minister of Defence, Mansur-Dan-Ali inaugurated the vehicles and performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a new Army cantonment known as Muhammadu Buhari cantonment at Giri, Abuja.
The chief of army staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai said the vehicles were locally designed and fabricated by personnel of the Nigerian Army after extensive research.
Buratai noted that the vehicles could be used for long-range battles as general purpose machine gun and other calibres of weapons could be mounted on them.
