Nigeria Needs Blueprint For National Development – Prof. Oyebode
A don, Akin Oyebode says opinion leaders in Nigeria must forge a consensus on the country’s vision and mission, if the nation must come out of its current state.
Professor Oyebode is of the opinion that well elaborated programmes and policies must be put in place as a blueprint of national goals and objectives.
The Professor spoke today as a guest lecturer at the first anniversary lecture of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State In office.
The theme of the lecture is “Re-thinking the Nigerian Nation: Issues and Challenges”
Professor Oyebode noted that indeed, the multiplicity of ethnic nationalities In Nigeria is not making task of governance easy.
However, he said ways need to be devised and necessary adjustment made to infuse the people with a sense of belonging and collective stake in the Nigerian Nation.
In his remarks, Governor Akeredolu assured that his administration will continue to award excellence at all time.
The governor presented cash prizes to some students of the state and athletes in recognition of their outstanding performances.
