Nigeria should adopt one term tenure to enable nation building – Osita Chidoka
A former Corp Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Osita Chidoka says, Nigeria should adopt one-term tenure in office to enable nation building.
Chidoka noted that the policy will restrict political leaders from using the nation’s treasury to run for elective positions.
He pointed out that the political office holders perform better during their first tenure in office.
While reacting to the proscription of Independent People of Biafra, Chidoka Sais, instead of using force to drive home their agitation, Independent People of Biafra members should rather participate fully or support a political party.
He said their participation in politics will enable them to use the legislative power in favouring their region.
Chidoka, however, noted that the military has no power to proscribe Independent People of Biafra but the legislative arm of government.
