We need assistance to host the national sports festival, Cross River State cries to FG
The Cross River state government has appealed to the federal government to assist with intervention funds to host the national sports festival.
The state’s deputy governor professor Ivara Esu made the plea when he visited the minister of youth and sports, barrister Solomon Dalung in Abuja.
He said that so much money had been sunk into the renovation and building of new infrastructure for the sport fiesta. Professor Esu urged the federal government to help in completing the facilities.
The Youth and Sports Minister, barrister Dalung while responding promised to discuss the issue with the president.
The minister also promised to assist the state seeks the intervention needed to host the game.
