Members Of Ruling Party, APC Storm Party Secretariat In Ekiti Over Alleged Imposition Of Candidate

Hundreds of the ruling All Progressives Congress members in Ekiti State have taken to the popular Ajilosun area of Ado-Ekiti where the Secretariat of the party is located to protest the alleged imposition of candidate in the next week primary election.

The protesters were drawn from the five local government area that made up of the Senatorial District to kick against the continued fielding of the senator representing Ekiti North Senatorial District, Olu Adetunmbi as the candidate of the party.

Armed with placards of various inscriptions such as; “No imposition of Candidate in Ekiti North”, Olu Adetumbi “Representation has not been beneficial to us”, ” We want Primary election in Ekiti North” among others.

The protesters who chanted solidarity songs premised their agitations on the account that the senator has failed to have meaningful project that will impact lives of the constituents since elected.

All efforts made to reach the said Senator Olu Adetumbi were not successful as he did not pick calls placed on his mobile phone and did not reply to the text message sent to him.
