Medal Glory for Ekiti, Volleyball Triumph for Ondo at National Sports Festival

Olaniyi Joshua today added another Gold medal for Ekiti state at the ongoing 22nd edition of the National Sports Festival in Ogun State.

He won the gold in Para-Athletics Shot-put with a distant throw of 9.62 metres.

In Tennis, Daniel Adeleye lost his semi final game in men’s category while in the female category, Ogunjobi success also lost her semi finals match

Both won two bronze medals for Ekiti state .

Meanwhile, the search for gold for team Ondo continues at the games.

Ondo state Male volleyball team, Sunshine spikers are through to the Semi finals following their 3-2 victory over their Kwara state counterpart.

In the first set Ondo state won 25-21
2nd set 25-27 while the 3rd set ended 15-25, 4th set 25-23, 5th set 15-13.

In Boxing , Olaiyide Ogunleye lost her bout in the 42kg to her opponent from Kogi state while Odeh John defeated another Ondo state Boxer defeated his counterpart from Anambra state in the 60kg , thus qualifying for the semi finals.
