Maina Gate: Senate blame presidency for corruption in civil service

The Senate has blamed the presidency for the rot and high level of corruption in the nation’s civil service.

Chairman house committee on media and public affairs, Aliyu Abdullai told newsmen in Abuja that non-challant attitude of the authorities at the centre was responsible for the menace.

Abdullai was reacting to the issue of the chairman presidential task force on pension reform Abdulrasheed Maina who return to the civil service after allegedly looting pension funds.

The chairman senate committee on media and public affairs noted that the lawmakers will soon pass a bill that will reposition the nation’s civil service.
