Luxurious Mercedes Benz: Carlos Agostinho Do Rosario responds to outcry

Mozambique’s prime minister, Carlos Agostinho Do Rosario has responded to an outcry over the purchase of 18 luxurious Mercedes-Benz cars for parliament’s governing board at a cost of 3.8 million dollars.

The move caused outrage especially on social media because the country is undergoing belt-tightening measures because of the tough economic times.

The prime minister told Mozambique’s to produce more wealth instead of wasting time complaining.

However, he admitted there was the need to assess the implications of the purchases on the budget.
