Lawyer faults Nigeria Constitution
A Constitutional Lawyer, Ebun Adegoruwa has condemned the 1999 Nigeria Constitution. The lawyer says the constitution addresses many issues that cannot be resolved with Nigerian cultural background.
Adegoruwa made the disclosure while speaking on a restructuring debate in Lagos. He pointed out that Nigeria must go back to the drawing board, retrace her steps and get a new constitution that will have no military colouration.
He also added that the 1999 constitution has caused more harm than good to Nigeria’s existence. The legal practitioner while speaking on resource control called for roundtable talks on sharing of resources, devoid of population and land mass but resources oriented ones.
Adegoruwa urged the Nigerian government to remove federal exclusive list. He stressed that the federal government should have no hands in centralizing admission and policing.
