Kenya Malnutrition: Over 70 children risks death
Over seventy children in Kenya are severally malnourished and at risk of dying from drought-related hunger unless urgent aid is made immediately available.
The warning comes following results from nutrition assessments conducted by UNICEF and nine aid organisations working to save the children.
The survey shows severe malnutrition rates with the most life-threatening form of hunger in areas like Turkana, Mandera, Samburu and West Pokot.
The aid organisations are urgently calling on the national and local governments in coordination with aid agencies to prioritize critical funds and support for a positive response.
