Israel court bars far-right election candidate
The apex court in Israel has disqualified the leader of the far-right Jewish power party, Michael Ben-Ari from participating in next month’s elections.
The court overturned an earlier decision of a lower court which directed the country’s electoral body to accommodate Mr Ben-Ari to contest.
But the supreme court found out that Mr Ben-Ari could not contest for alleged racism and public incitement.
Report say, prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had forged an alliance with several far-right parties for his re-election bid.
