Insurgents kill 7 Burundian peacekeepers
Burundi government has confirmed seven Burundian peacekeepers dead in an ambush by Al-Shabab insurgents in Somalia.
Al-Shabab carried out a mortar and landmine attack on the troops as they were travelling yesterday on a road linking the town of Jowhar to Balad in middle of Shabelle region.
Burundian troops are in Somalia as part of an African Union force fighting the Al-Qaeda-linked militants in Somalia.
