INEC urges parties to obey Supreme Court judgements against pursuing unnecessary litigations

The Independent National Electoral Commission has urged political parties to always obey the Supreme Court judgements instead of pursuing unnecessary litigations.

The chairman of the commission, Professor Mahmood Yakubu said when political parties obey Supreme Court judgement it helps in solidifying the country’s democracy.

Professor Yakubu at a forum in Abuja noted that the commission will continue to sensitize political parties and citizens on their role in achieving a free and fair election.
