INEC, governors, security agents to meet over 2023 general elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission is expected to meet governors, security agents and some presidential candidates ahead of the 2023 general elections next week Tuesday.

The interactive session will have the INEC commissioner for information and voter education, Festus Okoye; Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje; his counterpart in Bauchi, Bala Mohammed; Benue governor, Samuel Ortom; and the inspector-general of police, Usman Baba and other stakeholders in the electoral process in attendance.

Report says, participants at the roundtable would debate how the country could achieve a credible and violent-free election next year.

A keynote address on the theme, contemporary security challenges & its effects on 2023 elections would be delivered.
