ICAN approves Elizade University accounting programme

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria has endorsed the quality and standard of the accounting programme of Elizade University Ilara Mokin in Ondo State.

The President of the Institute, Alhaji Ismaila Zakaria said the signing of a mutual cooperation agreement with Elizade University is in confirmation of the endorsement.

Alhaji Zakari said the institute was established to set the standard and regulate the practice of accounting in Nigeria, adding that the Institute certification will help the accounting students of Elizade become well-trained professional accountants.

In his remark, the acting vice chancellor of Elizade University professor Theophilus Fadayomi said the university will always conform to the standard of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in the training of its students in the accounting profession.

In his remarks, head of accounting department of Elizade University Dr Emmanuel Eragbe said the institution will continue to forge close ties with the institute to produce credible accounting students.
