Group cautions Adeleke to steer clear of Aregbesola

A coalition of civil societies in Osun state has called on the state government to address the rising spate of insecurity in the state and to desist from white elephant projects that may plunge the state into financial mess.

It would be recalled that shortly after the gubernatorial election in the state, it has been battling with security challenges such as political killings, kidnapping, and robbery causing residents to live in palpable fear.

While addressing journalists in Osogbo the Osun state capital, the executive director of the group prof Wasiu Oyedokun said with the high rise of insecurity in the state it shows that the state government has not been living up to it responsibility to citizens.

Oyedokun Called on the state governor Ademola Adeleke to do the needful inorder to put an end to the menace.

The group also cautioned the state governor, Ademola Adeleke to steer clear the state former governor and the minister of interior Rauf Aregbesola

They urged the governor to desist from taking up some of the policies embarked on by Aregbesola’s administration which the group noted is capable of running the state into insolvency.

Also Speaking on presidential transition, the group berated calls for interim government as it implored government and lovers of democracy to support proper transition process comes May 29.
