Fuel scarcity: NANS warns against hoarding products in Ekiti
As fuel scarcity bites harder in Ekiti State, President of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS), Comr. Sunday Asefon has warned petroleum marketers and fuel station owners in the State to desist from selling above approved pump price and stop hoarding the products.
The NANS President who moved from one fuel station to another in Ado-Ekiti to enforce the government approved pump price of fuel, explained that the warning became imperative after observing the persistent queues at fuel stations in the state.
He appealed to all fuel stations to dispense the commodity at the government regulated pump price to reduce the long hours spent at fuel stations by customers.
One of the commercial operators at a fuel station where the task force Enforcement of the NANS President extended his tentacles to, lauded the efforts of the team at making life more bearable for them.
Many fuel stations across the State capital are still selling the pump price between 220 to 230 naira per liter as at the time of filling this report, while long queue of motorists still persist in some fuel stations that are selling at the government approved pump price in the State.
