Zambian Police arrest former minister over tribal comments

Police in Lusaka have arrested Zambia’s former information minister Chishimba Kambwili after he was filmed shouting at an Indian driver to go back to his country.

Kambwili is heard in the clip shouting unprintable names to the Indian man.

Police says he is currently in their custody and has been charged with expression of hatred, ridicule and contempt for persons because of race, tribe or place of origin.
