“Faceoff between lawmakers gave us opportunity to relax at home” – Ekiti Assembly worker

The alleged unrest among members of the Ekiti state House of Assembly seems to have resulted to emergency holidays for workers at the Assembly complex as the building still under security lock over purported invasion of hoodlums.

A visit to the Assembly premises by Adaba FM Correspondent shows that the entrances leading to the complex and Assembly Commission building were under locked with presence of armed security men.

When contacted on phone, one of the assembly workers who spoke under anonymity said that the faceoff between the lawmakers gave them the opportunity to relax at home.

Efforts to speak with the Speaker Rt Hon Gboyega Aribisogan, Chairman House Committee on Media and Publicity Yemisi Ayokunle and Member representing Oye Constituency 2 Reuben Awoyemi proved abortive as they decline calls.
