Ekiti SDP accuses APC of attempt to assassinate party’s deputy gov’ship candidate

The Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in Ekiti State, Dr Dele Ekunola has warned the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in the State to desist from violence or be ready to face a stiff resistance from his party.

Ekunola who made the disclosure during a press conference organized by his party in Ado-Ekiti said the party had to take the bull by the horns as he said the deputy Governorship candidate of the Party, Ladi Owolabi escaped assassination from suspected APC Thugs.

He also alleged that some suspected thugs numbering about eight, led by one Niyi Adedipe aka Apase welding guns and other dangerous weapons accosted SDP members while on board within the State capital, attacked them, inflicted injuries on them and seized their vehicle.

All efforts made to speak with the said Niyi Adedipe aka Apase was not successful as he did not pick calls placed on his mobile phone and did not also reply to the text message sent to him.
