Ekiti NSCDC parades 12 suspected criminals for various crimes

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ekiti State Command has paraded twelve suspected criminals for various crimes ranging from criminal conspiracy, cultism, illicit dealings in drugs suspected to be Cannabis sativa, Tramadol and other restricted substances.

In a release by the command’s public relations officer the state commandant, Mr John Fayemi who paraded the suspects at the counter terrorism base in Ado, commended the efforts and tactics put in place by the Counter Terrorism Unit to nab the syndicates.

Mr Fayemi who frowned at the level of illicit drug dealing in the state said that the supply of illicit substances flows from some local governments where they are processed to the state capital.

He appealed to the traditional rulers in the state to make sure that forests in their area are safe from this marauders, kidnappers, armed robbers and other criminals while government will not fail in its quest to protect the people from manmade associated problems.

Items recovered from the suspects include 3 motorcycles, substances suspected to be Cannabis sativa, Tramadol, phones of various brands and charms.
