Ekiti NSCDC deploys 1250 tactical operatives for Salah celebration

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ekiti State Command, Mr John Fayemi has approved the deployment of 1250 tactical team drawn from the divisional offices, LCDA offices, Area Commands and the State Headquarters for security coverage during the Salah celebration within Ekiti State.

In a statement by the command Public Relation Officer Tolulope Afọlábí, the tactical and specialized team are officers, drawn from Counter Terrorism Unit, Special Female Squad, Agro Rangers, Surveillance Team, Motorized patrol team, Chemical,Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives unit among others.

He said that the officer would oversee and patrol marked flash points, black spots, Prayer grounds, recreational areas, markets, shopping malls, parks, populated areas.

The Commandant charged the personnel to be diligent, civil and professional in the discharge of their duties.
