Ekiti LG Polls: APC candidate expresses optimism on party’s victory
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the Irepodun/Ifelodun local government during the just concluded local government election in Ekiti state, Gbenga Oluwatuyi, has expressed optimism that his party will have the day when the results of the election are announced.
Speaking with Àdaba FM at Igede Ekiti, Mr. Oluwatuyi noted that the good governance of Governor Biodun Oyebanji at the state level gave candidates of the APC across the 16 local governments and 22 LCDAs an edge during the polls.
He, however, commended the large turnout of voters who came to exercise their franchise in the community.
Mr. Oluwatuyi assured the people of the local government to replicate the activities of the state government during his tenure as chairman.
He commended the state independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) for conducting credible, free, and fair elections in the state.
