Ekiti govt donates 12 patrol vehicles to police
Ekiti state governor Biodun Oyebanji as described peace and security as the bedrock of such governance.
Oyebanji while distributing 10 patrol vehicles and 2 armoured vehicle to the Nigeria police force in Ekiti state noted that the state is one of the most peaceful in the country hence the need to increase the capacity of security agencies to maintain the status.
The governor announced the procurement of items aimed was aimed at improving the security system in the state to ensure top safety.
He urged police to utilize the items given to them by working harder in combating various crimes including kidnapping and burglary.
The Special Adviser to the governor on Security Brig. Ogundana Rtd noted that security agencies in the state have a working synergy, which enhanced internal security.
He urged the agency to effectively utilize these vehicles by increasing security efforts across every nook and cranny of the state.
The state commissioner of police, Dare Ogundare, expressed gratitude towards the governor for providing essential logistics to the police force.
He stated that these items would improve their performance in fighting crime and ensuring public safety within the state.
