Ekiti govt distributes official cars to LG bosses
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has presented official vehicles to the Heads of Local Government Administration of 39 local councils in Ekiti.
According to the governor, the vehicles handed over to the HLAs would help them to perform their duties effectively to the government and people at the grassroots.
Oyebanji who spoke through the state Head of Service, Mr Bamidele Àgbède said that the vehicle procurement done by government through the car dealers association in the state was a commitment towards improving the welfare of Ekiti people and patronizing local goods and services.
He said that his administration had paid part of the Local government workers salary arrears, approved career progression of some officers in the executive cadre and disbursement of car and housing loans to different categories of workers.
He assured that government would continue to patronize local contents with the aim of growing the state economy and minimise capital flight.
