Easter: Ondo NSCDC deploys over 1,200 tactical operatives to provide security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ondo State Command has deployed 1250 tactical operatives to provide tight security before, during and after the Easter celebration.

The deployed operatives are to protect critical national assets and infrastructure of government, secure worship centres, recreational centres, shopping malls and other vulnerable places.

Speaking on the deployment order, the Ondo State Commandant, Engr. Olatundun Olayinka affirmed that the Easter special deployment of tactical operatives centers on the need for the command to prevent attack against the critical national assets and infrastructure and ensure that the people of the Sunshine State have a hitch free Easter celebration.

“Personnel from the Intelligence and Investigation department will be on ground to elicit information from the public by mingling with the people especially in places that has been flagged as red zones. Our motorized unit will be patrolling the streets, public gatherings and motor parks to neutralize any security threat. Our marine squad will also be on high alert to secure our waterways in the State.”

“Security duty is a collective responsibility and the command is synergizing with other sister agencies to ensure that lives and properties are safe all through this festive period as we also want to advise that the people should celebrate moderately by showing forth the virtues of our Lord Jesus Christ who is the reason for the season.” He said.
