Decision to sanction hate speech promoters in line with laws of Nigeria – Lai Mohammed
The minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed says the decision of the federal government to sanction those involved in hate speech is in line with the laws of the Federation.
Mohammed said the federal government ban on hate speech does not affect the freedom of expression, adding that there is a difference between hate speech and freedom of expression.
The minister of information and culture who spoke in Abuja said the peaceful co-existence of Nigerians is a priority of the Buhari-led administration.
