Court Sentenced Five To Jail For Fraud, Leaking Nude Video Of Ex-Osun Speaker

A federal high court sitting in Osogbo has sentenced five persons to five years imprisonment each for blackmailing and defrauding former speaker of the Osun state house of assembly Timothy Owoeye.

The convicts Kazeem Agbabiaka, Femi Oyebode, Abdul-Rasheed Ojonla, Babatunde Oluajo, Adebiyi Kehinde, and Ismaila Azeez defrauded the ex-speaker of the sum of thirty eight million naira and maliciously released a nude video of him while allegedly having a ‘ritual bath’ in a street in the state capital.

It would be recalled that in 2018 a nude video of the immediate past speaker Timothy Owoeye having a ritual bath went viral on all Social media.

It was later learnt that the speaker has been defrauded by a syndicates hiding under the pretense of carrying out spiritual cleansing for him.

While delivering his judgement, justice Emmanuel Ayoola described the convicts as a web of syndicates who did not deserve to be in the society without a reform

Justice Ayoola therefore sentenced them to 5years imprisonment having been found guilty of the charges levelled against them saying this will serve as deterrent to whoever may have same motive.

While speaking to journalists the former speaker Timothy Owoeye lauded the judiciary for justice delivery .
