Court sentence Pakistan ex leader to death

A former Pakistan’s military leader general Pervez Musharraff, has been sentenced to death.

General Musharraff accused of high treason seized power in the military coup in 1999 and served as the country’s president from 2001 to 2008.

The charge relates to general Musharraff’s suspension of the constitution in 2007 when he imposed emergency rule in a move intended to extend his tenure.

The treason has been pending against him since 2013 in series of court cases.
