Child activist asks government to accelerate action against growing trend of child labour

A child right activist, Emmanuel Adaramola has asked the federal government to accelerate action against the growing trend of child labour in the country.

Adaramola said government at all levels must enforce the universal basic education act, a law that ensures that every child must have compulsory basic education.

He spoke at the Barry Callebaut cocoa horizons sensitization of farmers against child labour.

Sustainability operations manager, Barry Callebaut cocoa horizons, Adejola Ahmed said the sensitization was to discourage child labour practice among coca farmers in Nigeria.
