Catastrophic flooding the state of Texas in the United States is only expected to worsen in coming days as waters rise following a storm of historic opportunities.
A record of 75cm rain has already fallen on the city in Houston in the wake of Hurricane Harvey turning roads into rivers. But forecasters say the total rain could nearly double later this week. United States President Donald Trump has promised swift action to help those affected.
He is expected to visit Texas on this Tuesday.
