Bauchi Polls: Court stops INEC from collating, announcing results

Federal high court in Abuja has stopped Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from going ahead to collate and announce the results of election in Tafawa Balewa local government area in Bauchi state.

In a suit filed by the APC and the governor of Bauchi state, Abubakar Mohammed, Justice Ekwo Ejembi stopped the exercise until the determination of the suit.

Justice Inyang held that the order would last till the determination of the suit brought before the court by the two plaintiffs.

Hearing has been fixed for March 20th 2019.
